Why Clean & Polish?
Your success and reputation comes from the quality of the product that you produce. We want to help you be the best that you can be and look as professional and polieshed as possible.
Metal sublimation plates used in plaques and trophy plates are coated in a lacquer finish that actually absorbs the transfered image, the image is not held by the metal itself. (Note: If you leave a gold sublimation plate in the sun, it will melt the laquer finish away changing the color back to it's original dull silver. Try it.) Taking care of that laquer finish will make your product look better at presentation and last longer in the customers trophy case.
When heated in the heat press, the lacquer finish loves to bond with anything that it comes in contact wih, even if you can't see it. Paper flakes, ink/toner residure, dust, etc. These impurities impact the way your product looks and shines. Removing them and restoring the finish to the laquer gives your product the winners look.
